Pineapple is very nutritious, including rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, potassium and phosphorus. While rich in fiber and energy, pineapple is low in fat and cholesterol, making it a great nutritious food that you should add to your diet to improve and maintain your health. The entire pineapple plant, from leaves to fruit, contains bromelain, but the most is in the core of the fruit. Thanks to the ability of bromelain to break down protein, pineapple is used as a dessert at parties with lots of meat and fish; soften tough meats such as beef and buffalo; and act as a catalyst to promote the hydrolysis of protein in the production of dipping sauces.

In addition to the above uses, pineapple is also used to treat high blood pressure, reduce fever, and reduce heat. Modern medicine, after studying the effects of pineapple bromelin, found that bromelin increases the immune system, inhibits inflammation, reduces edema and blood stasis, reduces rheumatic pain, cleans necrotic tissue in wounds, and heals scars quickly. Although it has many medicinal effects, caution should be exercised when eating pineapple because in some cases, the substances in pineapple will make the disease worse or cause poisoning. Pineapple should only be eaten after meals because if eaten on an empty stomach, organic acids and bromelin strongly affect the stomach lining, causing nausea and discomfort.
