A study by Masterstudies University (Italy) has shown that apples are not only good for health but also have the ability to improve sex life in women.

The study was tested on 731 Italian women aged 18-43 who had no history of sexual dysfunction or depression.

The study was conducted on 2 groups. Group 1 was people who ate 1-2 apples per day and group 2 was people who rarely ate apples (only consumed 0-0.5 apples per day). Both groups were given a test consisting of 19 questions related to sexual function, frequency of sexual intercourse, pleasure, vaginal lubrication and satisfaction with their sex life.

The results showed that group 1 had a higher sexual function index. This proves that apples have a positive effect on women’s physiological function.

To explain this, the researchers hypothesized that like wine and chocolate, apples contain polyphenols and antioxidants that help blood flow to the genitals and vagina better, thereby increasing pleasure. In the study, scientists also discovered that apples contain phloridzin – a substance with a structure similar to female sex hormones that helps lubricate the vagina.
